BridgeWays users can now track their alerts through
System Center Service Manager 2010

LAS VEGAS, NV (Microsoft Management Summit) — BridgeWays announced that it has updated all its management packs to support the new Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2010, which helps IT service staff thru workflow automation and configuration change management, including consolidated tracking of alerts as incidents. BridgeWays also announced today:

  • New VMware PRO pack that extends System Center Virtual Machine Manager's reach into the VMware infrastructure
  • New community edition management pack for Windows Hyper-V Server

The entire line of BridgeWays management packs, including the new VMware PRO and Windows Hyper-V Community Edition, will be on display in at the Microsoft Management Summit.

"With these exciting new products BridgeWays is continuing the help customers fully leverage their investments in Microsoft and System Center technologies," said Andreas Typaldos, CEO of BridgeWays. "Microsoft's new Service Manager is a great tool for BridgeWays users managing a broad range of Windows, Linux, and UNIX applications and virtual environments."

All BridgeWays management packs now work with Service Manager 2010 to track alerts from when they occur to when they are closed. The various monitored components can now have change requests and incident tickets raised directly against them.

The new BridgeWays VMware 2.0 management pack provides PRO Pack integration with Virtual Machine Manager, tighter integration with System Center Operations Manager, right down to the credentials being stored as RunAs accounts, and enterprise level enhancements, such as Snapshot tracking, expanded KB articles, VDI monitoring, and support for vSphere and Virtual Appliances.

The new BridgeWays management pack for Windows Hyper-V Server is provided free to the System Center Operations Manager community. It helps extend the core Windows Server Hyper-V management pack, allowing users to monitor and report on the performance of their Windows Hyper-V servers.

The full line of BridgeWays management packs includes support for Oracle, DB2, and MySQL databases, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, and WebLogic JEE servers, along with VMware ESX and Windows Hyper-V virtualization.
